To cultivate theatrical audiences, make the arts accessible to all community residents,
|
and provide a venue for families to experience theatre together.
|
To bring quality, family oriented entertainment to the community at an affordable price.
|
Prairie Dog Productions started in May of 2000 as a Limited Liability Corporation. PDP saw the need
for affordable, family oriented theatre on a regular basis. By focusing on a particular type of theatre,
Musical Melodrama Parodies, Prairie Dog Productions provides the community with original scripts,
specifically oriented to entertain children and adults together.
The Board of Directors is a partnership of the owners; Shawn T. Manker & Frederick L. Scott and box office manger
Lorena Scott. Shawn T. Manker has been a resident actor of Prairie Dog for over three years and has been intimately
involved in all the day to day operations over the years. Frederick L. Scott joined the Prairie Dog Family in 2001 as a
resident actor and has been at home ever since. He has been a part of the Boise theater community since 1997, involved
with Boise Little Theater, Spontaneous Productions, Boise Music Week, New Heritage Theater Co. and Bogus Creek
Outfitters & Ranch - Theater in the Trees.
We would like to thank Prairie Dog founders Cammie Pavesic, Gary Winterholler, Sean & Chimena Cole and Tate S.
McCullough for their efforts in helping to build the theater into what it is today and we wish them the very best as they
continue their journey!
